Ramanavami 5th April

In the age of Tretaya, Lord Sri Rama Chandra appeared. This year Ram Navami is on 5th April. ISKCON Chandigarh will celebrate Ram Navami on 5th April at Hare Krishna Dham, Dakshin Marg, Sector 36B, Chandigarh with great enthusiasm and pomp.
The special events on this auspicious day are as follows:
1)     Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava & Sri Sri Sita Ram Lakshman will give Their Darshan at 8.00AM decorated with new outfits.
2)     Colorful and artistic flower decoration of the altar shall attract many visitors.
3)     The most attractive event of the festival which both devotees and general people long to see is Maha Abhishek of Their Lordships Sri Sri Sita Ram Lakshman. Maha Abhishek of Lord will start at 11.30AM and will continue for 1 hr. Lord will be bathed with ghee, milk, curd, honey, fruit juices.
4)     Along with MahaAbhishek ecstatic kirtan will be done by ISKCON devotees that will steal the heart of all and everybody will float with divine happiness.
5)     H.G. NandMaharaj Das, Co-President, ISKCON Chandigarh will deliver a Pravachan on the most auspicious appearance of Lord Ram Chandra emphasizing on how the teachings from the life history of Lord Ram Chandra are easily applicable to the people of the modern word and following this how one can free from all anxieties and stress.
6)     MahaArati of the Lord will be done at 1.00PM along with wonderful kirtan by devotees with mridanga (traditional drum), kartals, womper, drum, etc. This is actually wonderful beyond explanation. Only one can understand the pleasure experienced in it if he is physically present there.
7)     The last item of the festival which everyone likes is Bhandara. Full feast Prasadam for all the visitors and guests will be served. Devotees and guests shall relish the feast with varieties of food items offered to the Lord and will also receive Maha Prasad & Charanamrita of the Lord.
8)     Special BOAT FESTIVAL of Their Lordships Sri Sri Sita Ram in the evening at 7.30PM. Their Lordships will be seated on a palanquin brought to the small lake made in the temple premises. Then They shall be seated on a special boat to enjoy the water pastimes. Ecstatic Kirtan glorifying the Lord will continue during the whole program. A lot of Prasadam will be distributed.
